In an effort to fight the spread of COVID-19 in our state and country, certain officials have issued Stay-at-Home and Shelter in Place orders directing residents to remain at home and limit movements beyond their home to essential needs such as grocery shopping and medical visits. However, these directives allow critical infrastructures to remain open as a means to meet the needs of the larger population.
In his Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 Response, Christopher C. Krebs, Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the US Department of Homeland Security recognizes the need for critical infrastructures to maintain operation during these difficult times. The memorandum clearly states that refining, chemical, critical manufacturing and energy are both key and critical infrastructures. Therefore, all of Onpoint's customers are considered essential businesses that must continue to maintain operations even throughout stay-at-home orders. As a service provider supporting these facilities' daily operations, maintenance and emergency response, Onpoint is also considered an essential business, key and critical to the nation's infrastructure. Our customers rely on us to continue the uninterrupted supply of goods and services during these times, and we are committed to delivering on that promise.
We understand Stay-at-Home orders affect many of your families and friends. The CISA guidance also clearly states that as an essential business, we should enact measures to responsibly address the COVID-19 risks. We cannot understate our commitment to continually adapt and address risks as we learn and evaluate what the situation requires. Onpoint will continue to operate safely to the heightened standards we hold throughout this challenging time. With that, we ask for the same commitment from each and every Onpoint employee.
Onpoint is and will remain the independent craft that looks out for you. For any questions regarding our response to COVID-19 and Stay-at-Home orders, please contact 866-463-3308.
